Date: Tuesday 12 September 2017 at 11.00 am

The People and Communities Technical Committee of the Water Efficiency Network are pleased to invite you to their workshop on Flood Resilience, delivered by Dr Stephen Garvin.

Dr. Stephen Garvin  is the Director of BRE’s Centre for Resilience; he has over 30 years’ experience in construction research and consultancy, where he has focussed on the impact of climate on the performance of buildings and the materials and products used to construct them.  Stephen is currently leading Task Group 4 of the Property Flood Resilience Action Plan concerned with Standards, Certification and Skills.

The workshop presentation, given by Stephen, will feature the Property Flood Resilience Action Plan.  Delegates will have an opportunity to join in a Q&A session following the presentation and to discuss findings during the networking buffet lunch which follows.

There will be an opportunity to visit the BRE Flood Resilient Home (which featured in a recent BBC Countryfile programme) after lunch as well as an opportunity to learn more about the BRE Centre for Resilience.
We are sure that you will wish to be included in what promises to be a very informative day.

E-mail info@watefnetwork to register. Please provide your name, contact number and special dietary or access needs.
Registration deadline: 12 August July 2017

This is a free event, allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please make sure that you can attend before you register. Thank you.
