WATEF Conference 2015

Thank you to those members who provided us with feedback on our plans for this years's conference.  The conference venue will be the University of Exeter and our thanks should be extended to Fayyaz Memon for hosting this event on our behalf.  The actual dates will be confirmed shortly but will either be the last week in July or the first week in August.   We will be sending further information shortly.

Technical Committees

The chairs of our three newly formed Technical Committees have been working hard and plans are now underway for the inaugral meetings of each committee.  If you would like to participate in the Service Innovation Technical Committee please e-mail us - the first meeting of this committee is scheduled to take place in January 2015.

ICTs for Water Efficiency Virtual Master Class  10 December 2015

Our first virtual master class of the network year was very well attended with participants from as far away as Australia.  All the presentations given at the Master Class can be downloaded here

Berlin Field Trip: 

Please register early to join this exciting field trip - places are limited to 25 in total http://www.watefnetwork.co.uk/51-339. We are pleased to announce a special scholarship (travel + hotel) for one research student to attend the field trip to Berlin. The application template can be found here. The deadline for submission is 7 January 2015.

Water Reuse Technical Committee field trip to Thames Water Old Ford recycling plant:
Registrations for this field trip are now closed and the Water Reuse Technical Committee are looking forward to learning more about black water recycling when they visit the plant sometime in January.

Forthcoming workshop:
A workshop on "The regional approach to water efficiency" will be held at the Caledonian University Glasgow in the early part of 2015. Our thanks to Dr Charles Russell for offering to host the workshop.
Further details to follow and we are open to suggestions about presenters.
