WATEF Conference 2015 Poll:   We would like all members to make suggestions for the following:


1.      Propose dates for the WATEF conference in August 2015

2.      Propose a theme for the WATEF conference 2015

3.      Suggest Keynote speakers for WATEF conference 2015


As we will need to begin the planning of the conference prior to the Christmas holiday season – please could you respond to your proposals in the above order before 28th November 2015.

 We have a new section on our events page which shows a calendar of water efficiency events in the UK and overseas.   Please feel free to e-mail us with your events and we will be happy to add them to this section.

Technical Committees:

There are still opportunities to join one of our three technical committees on Surface Water Management; People & Communities and Service Innovation.   Please e-mail to express your interest in joining these and please feel free to pass this invitation onto those within your network who you feel may be interested.


Subject Champions:

Field Trip to Berlin:   We have been invited by Professor Angela Million and Dr Anja Steglich (Technical University of Berlin) for a three day field trip to Berlin from 23rd to 25thMarch 2015.   The programme for the field trip will be finalised shortly but will definitely consist of a visit to the Roof Water Farm (, a visit to Nolde & Partners (rainwater harvesting and grey water recycling sites) plus ample opportunities for members to learn about the work of the Technical University, to share mutual knowledge and interest, particularly around sustainable urban solutions for water efficiency, the water/energy food Nexus as well as rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling systems.

Members will be responsible for booking their own flights however we have negotiated a dinner, bed and breakfast deal with the Berlin Plaza Hotel  in the area of the Technical University so that after a busy and interesting day, we may all share our days’ experiences.  The number of places available will be limited to 25 maximum so please register your interest early by sending an e-mail to   The cost per member will be £200 for the hotel accommodation including a sightseeing tour of Berlin.
