WATEFCON 2015 - 5th to 7th August 2015 - University of Exeter

The recent WATEF Conference 2015 was well attended by both academic and industry delegates alike.  There were good opportunities to network with other delegates and to learn about the latest products from our industry exhibitors.

Some of the conference highlights were:

  • WATEF Drinks Reception/CIWEM Cloud Cash Event - our congratulations go to Sarah Ward (@Rainshare) for the winning pitch and runner up Chloe Whipple (@ChloeWhipple)
  • Technical Session: where our Technical Committees were able to share their findings with the wider conference audience.  Richard Malloy of Ricardo AEA also launched the new Scotland and Ireland Group.
  • Keynote Speakers:  This year we were pleased to welcome keynote speakers from Australia, Portugal and the UK.
  • Panel Discussion on Water and Energy Efficiency for Resilient Water Supply chaired by David Butler
  • Gala dinner : an interesting and enjoyable evening for all which was rounded off with a prize-giving ceremony sponsored by Neoperl.  Our congratulations go to David Kelly for achieving overall winner with the best conference paper; prizes were also awarded to Kerri Russell for the best industry paper and to Daniel Yeh and his team for the best research/student paper.
